"That's AI" , "What AI program did you use?", "She didn't do that, that HAS to be AI". This is the kind of comments that us artist see DAILY now. AI has been taking over everything on the digital world and now, any form of art that looks good, that looks too well done, "HAS to be AI".
Even after years of being in any platform, of having a community, there is always someone without any knowledge that wants to be the smart one pointing out that something looks way too good, "how is it possible that a person can take time, experience and skill to make something so well". No, now, in the public eye of the majority of the internet consumers, everything is generated quickly, by a program, cheap, and without any type of passion in it.
I don't know what worries me more and what makes me feel more sad, the fact that people come to me claiming that my art is generated or the life of those that want to be surrounded by that kind of content without soul, without personality. Just an insane amount of content that looks all exactly the same, and empty....... and most of the times with too many fingers.
This is a topic clearly dividing the public, some say is a tool, and we should take advantage of it to help us with our work. Others want to use it for everything, all the time, quick, simple, "I don't have to think or make an effort anymore". I honestly think this will start fading out, until the point it remains as that, as "another tool" for specific things.
On a personal note, I enjoy making art for myself, for those that enjoy it with me and support me, and those that realize that the value of art is not quick and cheap, that even the factor of the human errors are part of what makes art that valuable. Even in such a hard environment, with so many obstacles and new things coming out everyday. We have to keep working hard and remember why we started making art and why we cannot let those obstacles buried it.
"Without art, the crudeness of reality would make the world unbearable."
G.B. Shaw.
